It looks like it is a combination of DTC for newer cars plus a tailpipe emissions test for older cars with a visual inspection for both. Since I've been paying attention they've shifted the requirements a few times. All shops set up for emissions testing have the equipment for tailpipe testing. Seems like one of those things the government can change arbitrarily.
So no plans for a 2 cat solution? I just don't want to get jammed up without a way out.
