the lakers are prototypical D'Antoni. great offense(6), terrible defense(26). at full health i expect the lakers to take the 8th seed to only go out in 5 in the first round, thats their best case scenerio.

no rose and no noah is a big deal and that team rose to the occasion. but the lakers have had big wins like that this season too. single games dont define a season.
the lakers have had nash out with a broken leg and once and now with his hip, blake with abdominal surgery, kobe with his ankle, pau with his foot, dwight with his back and then with his shoulder, jordan hill with his hip, jamison with his wrist (although he kinda can play through that), and ron artest with his knee. those are all serious injuries and they have kept the team from finding any sort of chemistry at all. combine that with the three different coaching philosiphies they have and all the drama. dantoni never had three all team defensive players on his roster either. you can tell its communication and not talent or coaching that gives up he easy buckets.
