Good read man. Thanks
Only issue with the article is its running an 18x7.5 with only one type of tire. For instance the star spec. Tire weight is somewhere around 225lbs wich is pretty heavy. I would love to see this test done with a wider wheel and a lighter tire maybe the hankook EVO thats weight is 22lbs. So with the advans and tires they are at about 43lbs each wheel with a total of 172lbs. The factory wheel (20.4) tire (20) set up is 40.4lbs with a total of 161.6lbs which makes the advan set up 10.4 lbs heavier. I think that with the 57DR gram lights (18lbs) with the hankook EVO K110 (22) this setup will out perform the stock setup with different tires. Total weight is 40lbs and a overall weight of 160lbs which is lighter then stock by 1.6lbs. Now the star spec tires are at 22lbs which makes the stock wheel and star spec tires at 42.4lbs with an over all weight of 169.6lbs. So the gram lights with a wider wheel and lighter tire are 9.6lbs lighter.
