Actually all that is being said is that we care about the safety of ourselves and others. Proper road etiquette is essential when participating in public road events like Tail of the Dragon and Back of the Dragon.
Our group can have a great name and as this event grows we want to be looked upon as a good group. You don't want the police in that area associating our cars as a group of trouble makers. Same goes for hotels when we ask for room discounts because 15-30 people plan to attend. They will remember us, be that in a good way or a bad way.
That all said... If you have a cool street race on an open road with no bystandards in harms way. I could care less. Post it up. The Dragon is different because all motoring enthusiasts appreciate that road and others like it and we have a duty to each other to keep it an open and enjoyable road that isn't peppered with police cars at every other curve.
