Because these are preproduction cars.

These premiere events are "first drive" type of articles. It looks bad for a journo/publication to slam or give a definitive verdict on a car when it's not driven in production trim.

I love how the Porsche Cayman (esp Cayman R) feels/drives, so this is a really encouraging sign.
