I know someone has said in the past that the cat back has no effect on flow and therefore no tuning will draw power from it. The restriction is in the stock header, over and front pipes. As for the Stock Vs. drop ins im not really sure...
I'll make an educated guess that with the same MAF placement the tuner couldn't see a big enough change in the airflow to require tuning out inefficiencies any more than they had already addressed in the stock map?
Jack will have to step in and make the final verdict on this but that is my garage mechanic know-how telling me that much...
Im an Airaid intake owner and can without a doubt say that this tune addresses any issues I had with it. Response is back and the revs climb much more freely.
