Depending on the placement of the turbo, it could radically change the position and flow of the exhaust.

If you buy a kit, most will come with flanges that replace the stock part in the exhaust that the turbo will be inserted to. Custom setups may require you to do some modifications to get the turbo in there.

simple answer: yes :P the car wasn't designed with a turbo in it, so the exhaust does not have the hookups for it to be installed.
