My damage was not at the rear of the vehicle so I dont know how they will apporach it, but I know that for mine I had damage to the fenders, hood, bumper, doors, and engine bay. As for what they did, they replaced every single part with OEM parts. I told them specifically that they will replace every item damaged with an OEM part. My car was 4 mths old when I wrecked

. As for the claim I am in the process of doing that right now, since the wreck is not your fault you can file a claim to get back lost value in the car due to its dimished resale value. To do this contact the insurance agent handling your claim and ask for the documents they need for it. I'd also suggest the dealer recommended body shop, I went through the insurance company and that resulted in a very disappointing repair.
Your car should come back looking almost brand new, the body work on mine was pretty dang good(minus the paint job) there are areas on my car that arnt perfect but only a FRS/BRZ owner would notice.
