This is my first RWD car with driver aids, and I have to say that I'm better than this vehicle's traction and vsc systems in the snow. Sure, I swing the rear out a bit, but with the trac and vsc systems on, the car pushes and takes turns extremely wide - certainly wide enough to put me head-on on the wrong side of the road if I let it.

For me, VSC / trac are on when my wife drives it, and I'll leave them on when it's raining to protect against unpredictably slick roads. But strangely enough, in the snow I will continue to turn them both off.

EXACTLY how I feel! Turning around snowy backstreet is much better with everything off, because frankly with snow the damn thing flashes and blink ALL THE TIME! And going uphill / from stop with snow, you want those wheel spinning, and pushing the traction button everytime you get to a stop sign is just stupid...and It turns much better with the throttle than with steering input :happy0180:

When I'm on the highway though there's no reason to not leave the nannies on. It's either full on for me or full off (hold Trac. Con. 2 sec.).
