While I understand your valid point that it is too hot, I believe the term "overheating" was used here meaning when you see the temperature gauge in the car go to H and need to stop using it.
Also, synthetic oil is not expected to break up at those temperatures. But I do agree with you, I don't want those temperatures in my car, but then I also don't plan on tracking my car more than a few times a year. I got some heat mitigating parts on the way.
