I stick with 15s on my ITR.. don't like anything past 16 but still prefer little 15s..

I agree, numbers and performance should be similar to the ITR. There are stock USDM ITRs with great street tires that hit 13.9 quarter mile runs. Low-mid 14s are easy with the ITR so assuming gearing is good on the 86 I'd expect similar.
