Waiting is overrated
Prevailing wisdom would have it that if you wait until the next model year you will get a car with all of the problems of the previous model year fixed. This sounds great in principle but in practice it does not hold up. Witness the IMS bearing problems of the Porsche m96/m97 engines. Porsche made three changes over two model cycles in an eight year periond and still did not have a reliable fix for the problem. Another example would by the ongoing HPFP problems with BMWs.
My take on this is the longer you wait the higher the list price gets. You may able to engineer a great deal on a '14 when they arrive but, in general, this years model is always going to be cheaper than next years unless the car is a total failure on the market, like the Acura RL for example. The twins do not fall into this category. They are just going to get more expensive with time.
