Ok I will try to help the best I can..for anything specific please feel free to PM me.
When it comes to the wiring of this there are the 3 ways I listed in the DIY.
The
RED wire absolutely has to be connected to a power wire. This can be completed with the quick connects supplied in the package. Your goal here is to find a wire that has power when the car is on or power that can be toggled on and off. - I chose power when the car is on/access mode. (ie. the accessory outlet behind the glove compartment).
- Some others chose to tap into the side marker wire or blinker wire. This gives them the option to turn them on whenever they so please. But this also limits the DRLs to only be on when your other parking lights are on.
Again either option works. I am not sure what color the wire is for the blinker/side marker lights since I did not tap into those, but I can tell you the white wire behind the glove compartment is the power wire where I tapped into.
Now that the
RED wire is taken care of, by only connecting this wire the DRLs will stay on
HIGH power
CONSTANTLY when the power is activated.
To have other options with this kit you have two other wires.
The
BLUE and the WHITE. Depending on which wire you use will depend on the option available.- BLUE tapped into the power wire of the headlight allows the DRLs to switch from HIGH to LOW power when the headlights are switched on.
- WHTIE tapped into the power wire of the headlight allows the DRLs to switch from HIGH to OFF when the headlights are switched on.
The
BLUE and
WHITE do NOT need to be connected to opperate the DRLs only the
RED. It is all dependant on what option you want operated.
