I've had double limo tint on a greenhouse-like Civic, you couldn't see into it with your hand pressed against the window. Parties in the woods with no lighting made it a nightmare. That was 5% I believe.
The next Civic got 20% all around, it was still too dark when outside lighting is at a minimum.
Factor in where you intend to be doing most of your night driving and decide from there.
