It's not a question of getting a new one because you think you've "abused" your fuel pump which isn't really possible (you're abusing your transmission if anything). It's that getting a new one does nothing but waste your time, give you no resolution and having some random tech rip apart your pump and prey to god he followed the instructions right putting it back together properly. Apparently you didn't see what happen to another members 86 that caught fire and burnt the car to a crisp because the tech didnt install the pump correctly.

yeah im not sure how you would abuse a fuel pump either. Im just saying, i prefer new parts over used ones. Especially when theyre free new parts. If the car burnt to a crisp thats awesome, id pick up another brand new one with no miles on it without spending a dime.
