Sports cars are the wrong place to look for mpg anyway. But I know that many here care about it as much as performance. They're also buying diet ice cream and discount orthodonture.

CAFE requirements don't have exemptions for sports cars.
Besides there are more benefits than just fuel economy. 100 hp/liter is nothing to scoff at. Especially in a car as cheap as this one.
