By next summer I'll be less than a remaining on the warranty and I'll have a pretty good confidence level on the reliability of the stock motor and whatever kit I chose.
It Subaru had some crazy 7 yr, 100k warranty I would probably not give that up.. but after i've used two of the three years.. it's not such a big deal.
