I just got mine in today and did the quick install. The bulbs do light up immediately and throws a nice color. Once it gets dark I can see if the output is improved.
One thing I did notice was the exposed circuits and wiring where the connectors are. Will there be any ill effect with weather, rain, etc? Also, the chip that is connected on the harness doesn't seem to hold extremely tight, I'm just worried that, I don't think it will, vibrate off with time.
I took the time to heatshrink the connectors from the bulb to the chip just to make sure it wont come off.
UPDATE:
So, took sometime to drive it at night and I have to say, i'm not impressed. The "throw" of the light is not as far as HID's and it is not as bright as HID's either. I think it is due to the diode only throwing light from one side making only half of the reflective housing in your headlight be used.
For the money, I say HID's are a better buy and will probably last the life of your car anyway.
***Also, I do not like the OP ignoring my question ^^^ about the exposed circuits.
