I just got the 9500ix and I love it. Upgraded from the 8500x50, that I had for almost 8 years.
However you can't really go wrong with the V1. It comes down to personal preference. Do you like the GPS learning features of the 9500ix or the arrows/bogey counter of the V1? As for range, they both have excellent range Can't choose incorrectly with either one of these.
