(All personal preference): 17" are lighter and I think look better with meatier sidewall and a moderate drop. The tires start looking like rubber bands in 18" but might look better if you're dropped more (
for reference). In 18" form, the 15 spokes start looking too long and fragile for being rally-inspired (which is what all STI wheels are). 10 spokes would look better in 18" like the wheels from the Forester STI.
STI has been using the 17" model on stock Michelin HP Primacy tires in all their online marketing material so far.
