I haven't seen the video. To comment on everyone's critique of positioning of the hands, if you watch many forms of racing, you'll see the fastest drivers using different techniques. In auto-x alone I can think of at least 3 different National champions that use 3 different techniques. I've seen some of the fastest drivers use anything from 9-3, to 10-2, to 11-1, to shuffle steering. It really depends on your driving style and what you're comfortable with.
