Agreed. It's hard to define who creates what these days anyway. My company constantly acquires new products and technologies, whether through acquisitions or partnerships, and regardless whether we absorb their manufacturing site or still have them produce it, the end product is still rebranded as our own and is perceived that way. In addition, you have to account for parts that are supplied from third parties. Honestly, how many components in our cars do you think are actually designed and manufactured at Fuji Heavy Industries? A good number come from suppliers we've probably never heard of and then rebranded as Subaru on the end product. Easiest analogy is Apple. Why aren't our phones called the Foxconn iPhones because isn't that where its manufactured? An end product is the result of multiple resources from multiple sites. What ends up on the final product is just a matter of who is supplying the final product to the customer as a business.
