Even more advanced materials such as turbine and compressor wheels for automobiles are today produced in China, some machined and inspected in Japan (such as IHI or Garrett) and then sold as made in XXX. Even in the aerospace business much of the components outsourced to Japan originated from China, do you think the majority of the dreamliner components are made stateside? I argue no. Of course you still have defense related components built mostly here in the US, but I guess that's where you get what you pay for with a P&W F135 reportedly costing more than $30 mil/unit. Your average consumer good is made in China and consumers prefer to pay much less for a slightly shittier product than much more for a slightly better product.

I will simply ignore your attempt to disqualify me by saying I have no idea what I'm talking about...it was pointless and unfounded anyway.
There are however some HALF-truths in your statement, you also seem to not have a clear hold on the difference between manufactring/producing/machining/casting/forging etc... or you are unclear language (like alot of dishonest manufacturers) to make a stronger argument.
1stly I never have and never will make commercial airplane parts.
2ndly ofcourse the dreamliner isn't mostly made stateside...that's why it barely made it into the fleets and won't stay for long...next (also why cost was so high initially since NOTHING FIT)
3rd...you still haven't told us of this great company you run....
Honeywell moving to China was the single largest mistake they have made...ask them how that has played out so far and what their rejection rate is on those...but hey atleast the knockoff turbo's are getting better due to the direct exposure to the tollerancing and engineering.
I get that you tell yourself things so you can sleep at night, but that doesn't make them true.
You don't like keeping jobs in America...good for you I guess...trying to come in here and talk to people like they are stupid because your decision was better for your wallet, and now you have all this time on your hands because you can't sleep at night, isn't changing anything.
I understand far more than you do about manufacturing laws and what you can do to make a product "made in the usa" without actually doing much of the manufacturing in the states. I have read the documentation.
It's nice to see you don't value craftsmanship or technology with your little smirk about the F135...also shows you wear you lack of industry experience on your sleeve/forehead....
BTW that TI welding is a joke, horrible flow thru that nasty radius, poor bead consistency and you need a real welder if that time quote is correct....if that's the type of US labor you are familiar with no wonder you have no clue how to get things made here.
BTW the responses I originally stated were quite on topic before you came in waving the Chinese flag
