Yeah I learned a hell of a lesson about first year model cars! I think the FRS/BRZ was well engineered and has great intentions, but it's the mass production process that they need to work on. Yes there are only a handful of cars with problems like mine, but there are a lot of really common issues I see all over this forum and I've noticed a lot of people simply ignore things like noises, gaps, or condensation. I guess I'm a bit OCD when it comes to brand new cars.

Nissan had their share of issues with the 350Z/370z and the G series and they've nearly worked out all of them by now. Mine's the 2012 model which has the oil cooler stock, keeps the temps that people were complaining about low.

We are essentially the trial run for Toyota here. I'm sure they got tons of data from my car alone, they had a regional rep come look at it during the worst cases. I just didn't wanna play guinea pig anymore
