Heck if its any solace to you all, I was car-less for over 4 months while my car was a test mule. I didnt complain much, or call my vendor weekly, tho it was a challenge to not. Updates are never as frequent as one would like!

Theres more to it with this type of production project, its not all car tuning, HP and TQ, there is the money to fund it all, try and gauge demand etc. There alot going on in other economies right now.

theres the tooling, protoypinhg, testing, shipping across the pond, testing with different fuels, climates, etc etc, so never underestimate the challenges any vendor or manufacturer has in funding, contracting, acceptance testing etc.

Especially where you have firms in Austrailia,Asia and USA that need to sync up for this converged component product to be all we think it will be.

As one of our cars has a centri SC, you can bet I am watching this thread as I think about what the heck to do with the other car. I dont REALLY want two of the same, so yeah, I'm hoping this thing makes a splash too!

It would be pretty cool to have two SC BRZs, each from a different vendor. One for track torture with oodles of top end, and the other with a meaty midrange. Not a bad strategy for my garage. I dont think I have turbo budget for either car, if I did a turbo it would be getting a big assed FMIC, huge oil cooler and a bad assed radiator. that all can add up fast, can can be work, so in my opinion, patience for the SC market to catch up with the Turbo market is worth it.

Turbo BRZ would compete with STI sales, why injure their flagship?

Sure updates would be nice, I personally dont think 2000 posts have urged them to respond, and sure, as end users, its tricky to process and interpret that in light of what we want to expect in the way of communication and responsiveness, but its truly too early to formulate any judgements. Keep your cool kids. I'm rooting for this team too.
I've been carless since November too. Damn winter. I'm still on the fence about FI. I'm not in a huge hurry to commit to one platform or another. I just think it's dishonest to advertise a product so early in the development cycle and then provide no information. It's basically just leading people on.
