I, personally, don't want this car to die on lots. Even if it's solely manual, the first couple years it'll sell just fine.. but after that, when all the normal people are looking for cars, they won't buy it.
That means the car will be getting less profits, which means this car will be scrapped.
There is NO WAY toyota won't offer an auto. They like money too much.

Edit: (And I'll be happy if it has an auto in it. I won't buy it, but others will. If this car fails, Toyota will say "Hmm. Maybe there really isn't a market for a small, affordable, modifiable, RWD sports car." I don't want them to say that.)
