The way I see and i am certainly no expert, the std car is pretty solid as a compromise between road / track.
Coilovers really are for track work. I just won't be doing hard core track work on expensive sticky tyres.
Honestly ring the Cootes or Josh @86drift and tell them what you intend to with the car. Josh coote told me they are not uncomfortable but if you want you can get softer. I did... slightly softer.
After a brief ride in coyotes car. I agree. They weren't too harsh.
The Internet won't help much with subjective impressions of ride quality. Ask an expert or better yet, try before you buy where you can.
It's a safe bet that anything from MCA will be good.
