Toyota makes sure you can't use an inexpensive aftermarket unit. The best I could do using the SAT ready OEM radio was about $270 for the parts alone. I only want the SAT radio for 2 1/2 more years until I can retire, so thats too much money.

Go to performance Toyota. That's where I bought mine from, and they have been fairly mod friendly also. PM me if you want the name of my rep.
The only complaint I've had is that they can be slow to get parts in sometimes (I had to wait for them to get my fuel pump) but they are very friendly and have great hours.
I wouldn't ever take my car to any joseph dealer. I worked for them sometime back, and while Richard Joseph is a nice guy, I have seen the way they treat people and would rather not ever deal with a dealer that uses some of the shady tactics they use
