Yeah the OE tires are supposedly 240 tread wear, but they seem to be holding up too well for a tire of that rating. It's probably just marketing to make the tire seem grippier.
One thing that will prolong tire life during spirited driving is more negative camber on the front. The "crash bolts" are legal in stock class, will add some camber and take less than half an hour to install, even if you're slow like me.
Plus I picked mine up from a Subaru dealer for about $9.
