I dunno, that kinda implies that people lie to themselves to justify the hand they are delt, no? Sure, oftentimes that's the case when the other hand is unattainable, but this is a pretty meager variance. I'd compare this to maybe preferring a moderate apartment over a similar moderate apartment with a "WELCOME" mat in front of the door.
In any event, I'd rather live in a mansion. My house sucks!
