This was going to be my next suggestion. The guy that did my opticoat sent me a list of products to maintain the car and IronX was one on the list for pulling up the iron dust and shit off the paint. If that is what you actually have I could see where a claybar won't pull it up but the ironX will. IronX actually chemically reacts with the iron in your paint and releases it, allowing you to wash it off. A claybar is going to have a hard time pulling something off the paint that isn't just adhered to it but actually embedded in it.
