That's right. I don't know the technical term of it but think of the whole clutch range as a spectrum from 1-100, 100 is fully depressed, 1 is completely pressed down. The original friction point (catch point or grab point) is at somewhere between 40-60 of the whole clutch push spectrum. But adjusting the clutch pedal closer in line or even below the brake pedal you are moving the friction point from around 40-60 to somewhere like 20-40 (depends how far you adjust the clutch of course). Adjusting the pedal also FEELS like making the friction point smaller, say from 20-35, but I think it's just my mind playing tricks as it allows the engagement earlier so it kinda seems like the friction point range is smaller making it really easy to drive.
In other words, original factory setting you have to let the clutch go quite a bit before you can start pushing the gas pedal. With this DIY adjustment, you can literally lift the clutch just a bit and start to push the gas pedal right away. Hope that make some sense
