Scion had absolutely nothing to do with this car's design or engineering. It doesn't even fit in with the Scion family. For all purposes aside from sales and support, it isn't a Scion. I guess it could be said of a few other Scion models. I just wish they'd call it like it is, "Here's this car, available exclusively at Scion" and not "Dis r be r pride n joy we mayk diz, hurrr." Scion largely is not a car maker, they're an internal marketing firm.

This is a big part of why I rebadged my car. Combination of this issue, association with what I perceive the scion image to be, and irritation at the lack of available options for the car. I sure wish I didn't want the orange so bad... Having a Subaru would have been a lot easier to explain to people.
