I think it's funny when people complain about it not looking like a muscle car. Does no one remember that the original wasn't really supposed to be a muscle car? It was a pony car. Traditional muscle cars were the Chevelles and Chargers and GTO's while pony cars (Mustang, Camaro, Challenger) were American companies trying to do a more European style small sports car. They still ended up rather large, but the idea was there.

Just because it's become a huge boat of a muscle car doesn't mean it always was or should stay that way. The original Mustang was by far the smallest and lightest of the original pony/muscle cars.
