The cam timing is adjusted by oil pressure, so if it is starting to drop they may not adjust properly. I have no idea what the required pressure is vs when the sensor reports low pressure.


Of course you should also just plain make sure the oil is full.
Oil pooling in the head at high Gs, very typical Subaru problem...same with cracked ringlands. I hope neither are the case here.
