I had a "Crash Box" or more well known as a Dog Box in my WRX which I daily drove. It's an un-synchronized transmission which you had to double clutch to shift because there were no synchronizers to match up the gear speeds for you. The awesome part about it is that you can shift without using the clutch.
I'm pretty excited to get my FR-S. It's everything I want. Small, light, low, RWD, etc...
