LOL, those are the 2 models ive been warned NEVER to buy! And apparently the Boxster is a little fussy bitch too! My guru claims the ONLY one you buy is a 911 and basically any year if you have the $$ to keep it running.
This guy has amazing credentials. European raised motor head, Maserati racing mechanic, car collector (30+ at one time, mostly MB). Has worked on, rebuilt, restored and driven nearly every car you can think of. Hes in a VERY high-end neighborhood NYC suburb.
Claims, hands down (and in a whisper) the best car ever made is a Lexus!
Amazing company with amazing quality. Second on his list is Honda.
He LOVES Mercedes and BMW and will defend them to the end BUT if you want a well designed, engineered and built car you get it from a Japanese manufacturing plant! Funny how most North American Japanese cars are made in America while most American Cars are made in Mexico or Canada. The best cars are made in Japan, then Germany. But remember the Italians make the most beautiful cars, art on wheels.
