No, that's not the point. Anyone can look up a word in a big book and tell me what it means.
Look up science while your at it, you'll just drive your self insane.
The term car enthusiast is to generalized, it really means nothing.
Theres so many different types of car people out there, people who only drag race, people who only like Jap cars or American cars, people who only buy cars to do track days and people who only drift.
To say one car can fit all of these "car enthusiasts" is foolish and without thought.
Sure you can use the excuse "
Oh, but he only meant people who like RWD cars" but its such an overused term that it can't be used.
Cars is a lot like music.
Okay you like music? What type of music?
Jazz? Metal?
What type of Jazz and Metal?
Death metal, black metal, thrash metal, stoner metal?
Modal Jazz, bebop, jazz fusion?
You can't be too general because it doesn't do justice to anything, but you don't have to be too organized and specific as well. You just have to stop using the word!
Driver car is a whole other argument, that term is somewhat marketing folly as well, along with the term car enthusiasts.
Then you have a factor of what it means to non car people, if you call your self a car enthusiast in front of non car people, they'll just laugh at you inside their head. It sounds too anal, to douchebagish and even inappropriate in some case.
Its like the word maybe.
So call me maybe?
