I'm new to the forum and just saw this thread. Both myself and a friend replaced our OEM brakes recently, one at 3k and the other at 1.5k. Both had uneven wear on the stock brake pads, and I mean dramatic. On the car that had done 3k half the pad had worn away at 1 end whilst the other had plenty of life left.
IMO it looks like a design flaw given the issue was visible on both vehicles which were delivered 4 weeks apart.
Suggest you keep an eye on them just to be safe.
