Thanks Dan, I happened to browse across that the other day. It made me think it probably wouldn't be a good idea to try out given the detail you wrote up.

Just because Porsche runs their cars with staggered tires (this was taken into account when designing the car, and the weight balance on a porsche is skewed towards the rear where as our car's weight balance is skewed to the front....) doesn't mean you should do it on your 86.
