So we have a great local stock of HIDs available to us. If you have any questions about HID kits and availability, please direct them to me.
Warranties are based on the manufacturer. I personally run the same ballasts as the H11 kit with the HID retrofit (our H1 bulbs). I also have the reverse kit installed.
HID Reverse Kit
This is great for an FR-S or BRZ. They are 15 watt ballasts and come on pretty quickly. Much more light when having to back up.
Available in 6000k.
90 day warranty.
In the picture below, the license plate has 5 chip LEDs in it.

H11 HID
Available in a variety of color temperatures. The stock halogen reflectors aren't bad at all. The cutoff isn't as sharp as an HID retrofit kit, but in the end of the day you probably won't get high beamed by your fellow drivers. When I was running this kit, I didn't need to adjust the headlight either.
This is a copy of a thread I posted earlier on this kit....

... This was a 15 min mod. I need to find a better mounting solution and seal up the connection to the stock plugs. When I use to do some long range wireless installs on towers, we had a rubberized electrical tape that worked well. Applied normal electrical tape on top of that as well and wrapped it a certain way to seal and encourage water to roll off. Not that I think a lot of water is going to get in this area.
Probably the easiest HID install I've ever done. Only done them for my personal vehicles as well. Eldorado (later changed to E39 lights), MR2 Spyder (bi xenon), and the FJ (later changed to LED).

Since the sun was setting I recorrected the white balance in each picture. Aperture remained the same, but it wasn't manual exposure. I figured it wouldn't be much good with the sun setting anyways. You might see that I accidentally kicked the tripod between the 2nd and 4rd picture .
I probably should have gone with 4300k for higher light output. The color seems easy on the eyes (it wasn't exactly pitch black when I drove it), but I believe the light output could have been higher with a 4300k kit. Maybe it's not fair since the FJ has 12 forward facing lights (LED headlights, 4x 9" HID, 2x 35 watt lights to the obliques, 2x fog/foul weather driving, and 2x fog/foul weather fogs).
I have more pics, but I'm still working to see what our status will be on the site. This exploration into the FR-S is more my baby at the moment.

BRZ 5202 Fog Light
This image shows 5202 HID fog lights and H1 headlights in 6000k.
These HID kits are 15w like the reverse HID. This keeps current draw and temperatures down. We encourage you to wire them up with a relay or into another switch in general. There are an unlimited amount of options for wiring up 12v accessories. In general, we don't like to run HIDs as DRLs.
