The issue of aerodynamics and the role of the stock muffler as a rear diffuser. There is proof that removing it causes significant rear lift. There is only one aftermarket company which has addressed this with an additional diffuser for their cat back kit, but with it their kit almost weighs as much as stock.
Now I would guess that the Perrin design is not as bad with creating rear lift as others because it retains the horizontal muffler in the near stock position but it is smaller and round vs. large oval and angled and taking up most of the space which I assume keeps the air traveling under it.
Comments on the Perrin design related to aero?

I was struggling with getting the nameless system because of this. I contacted nameless and they said they are working on a diffuser that will work with their existing axleback. Hopefully with the addition of the diffuser it will still come in with a net loss in weight.
So their is another company working on a solution for the aero problem.
