We only have information confirmed that the car will be released in Australia in the 2nd Quarter of next year (probably April/May).
So still about 6 months away unfortunately.

There has been no further information on specifications but these are normally released to the dealer network around 2-3 months before the model is released. Keep an eye on John Mellor’s Goautonews (go to www.goautomedia.com to subscribe) as they are a good source of info and “leaks” from the manufacturers.

Pricing is still to be decided but I am sure they want to get to around $30000 start price for the base model car in the current market.
This is likely to be plus on road costs but it is still a great starting point.

This is from a dealer in QLD. Apparantly he had a meeting on Tuesday with some blokes from Toyota. In the last email I recieved from him, I asked him about the likely hood of different models in Aust. He said about there being a few models for Australia, but not as many as Japan (AWD, etc.). When I read that I sort of gathered he didn't know anything about the car. But the date reflects what Wheels Mag has said. However like me you should take his word with a grain of salt.

BTW that GoAuto site is quite useless.
