2 things....had they realized it was the wrong spoiled they could have swapped the trunk lid, badges etc. and never told you...most customers would probably never notice and I'm guessing if they suggested it, they've done it before.
Second...how'd you like to be the unsuspecting person that buys the car with the other trunk lid?
Who knows...it could end up being a cool story in the future so I'd just do the swap and stash the other VIN number in your files somewhere for the future.
