I'd be more worried about some obstruction or increase in resistance through that system decreasing the efficiency of the oil pump. I think that failure would be worse, because it's hard to detect, than one of the lines breaking and dumping all of your oil.

My advise would be to buy quality, get an oil pressure gauge, and keep an eye on the whole system. If something looks degraded/broken, its better to fix it before the whole thing fails. With the Perrin system you can twist off the adapter and replace the filter&oil to limp home should something go wrong, which is a nice safety net. I need to re-read the C stock rules, but I'll probably be getting one of those later this spring.
