It snaps on, it took me a while to get off because it didn't wanna scratch the trim or break any clips. I slid a card between the handle and the trim on the left side of the left door and right side of the right door then slid plastic into the bottom of the trim to get a hold of it and pulled it slowly and worked it upward. It takes a bit of force but not too much. The bottom is where the main clip is and at the very top there is a piece that slides into the door.
