I'd be very surprised if the BRZ gets released here. Haven't been following what Subaru AU has been saying, but I don't think there's much of a market here for two cars that are virtually the same. In the US Scion and Subaru are heavily differentiated, but here Subaru is only a slight notch about above Toyota. That and the fact there's a much smaller market for sports cars, and Subaru really do love their All 4 the Driver mentality here.

Again, trying to figure out if my brain is working correctly or not, but the Toyota/Holden alliance shared chassis and engine codes of the original manufacturer. They had a build plate that matched the badging "manufacturer", but the chassis/engine numbers followed the same syntax.
