Just a bunch of Texans hanging out (SATX 86 photoshoot)

Since the first Cars and Coffee meet I attended in San Antonio almost a year ago, I have wanted to get a large number of San Antonio Toyobaru owners together for a photoshoot.

After flirting with the idea here on the forums for sometime we finally set a date, the problem was where do we shoot? We could do the old faithful parking garage shoot with plenty of lighting and parking, but we all agreed that the back drop should be something that screams "San Antonio".

Of course the Alamo was out of the question because down town San Antonio is like any other major city, congested and tight. So we instead went with a local shopping center know as the Quarry. The Quarry's signature smoke stacks with Alamo emblazoned on the side was just what we need.

And of course when Texans (well I am not really a Texan, but I've adopted the state) do something the do it big. We had 19 cars show up, so many that the 17mm lens I rented for the occasion couldn't handle them.

So with out further ado, here are the shots (yes the lens glare is a beast)

We had expected the lot to be clear on a Sunday, but no joy. So excuse the pole, we didn't have many clear areas to shoot

Since I wasn't in the HDR

with the owners (sans me and my car of course)
