While I agree the search leaves much to be desired I whole heartedly disagree with Vbull being "crap". As a forum owner/admin I have dealt with many different forum softwares and have found Vbull to be byfar the best. There is a reason why it is popular with so many forums. I don't know much about the technical aspects but I'm sure there has to be ways to enhance or improve the current search with coding tweaks but I pay someone to handle that for me.
As mentioned - Just use google - it only takes seconds and will almost always produce the result you want.
