I asked for 24K out the door but then I decided to try to get 26K out the door. The one thing that I didn't factor in was warranties. Here's a breakdown of what I paid for my silver fr-s 6 speed manual:

cash price of vehicle $26,436.00
taxes and fees $2,718.55
trade in credit for my car -$2,475.00
warranties and lojack $3,947.88
total car price $30,627.43

I put a down payment of $5000 so it ended up being $25,627.43 that I owed after that. I wanted to open a thread to discuss whether or not I'm wasting money by getting the warranties.

I extended the "bumper to bumper" warranty from 3 years 36,000 miles to 8 years 125,000 miles for $2065, I extended the Maintenance warranty from 2 years 25,000 miles to 5 years, 60,000 miles for $533, got LoJack for $697, GAP coverage for $499, and the taxes for those items was $155.88. I wanted to make a topic to discuss whether or not I should cancel these warranties but I'm probably too new here to post a new topic. I'm definitely planning on keeping the car for many years, but I'm gonna be keeping it stock the whole time as far as I know.

Any input? I can still return the warranties.

I originally wanted the ultramarine or raven color but they didn't have that in MT so I got the silver color instead :-/. At least it still looks pretty nice. I hope the OP got what he/she wanted
